TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The Tucson Police Department says a motorcyclist has died from his injuries suffered in a crash Thursday, Oct. 23.
The crash happened about 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of East Valencia Road and South Columbus Boulevard.
The TPD says 43-year-old Jason Paul Mifsud was taken to the hospital. The Medical Examiner’s Office notified Tucson Police October 27 that he had passed away.
Detectives determined Mifsud was traveling west on East Valencia Road when he collided with a green 2002 Subaru Legacy that was turning left from eastbound Valencia Road onto northbound Columbus Boulevard.
Police say Mifsud was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
A DUI Unit officer responded and determined that the Subaru’s driver, a 23-year-old male, was not impaired.
