TRANSYLVANIA COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office reports a man was charged in connection with a shooting in Pisgah National Forest on Wednesday.
Deputies said they responded to the 3000 block of Pisgah Highway in the national forest and were told a victim was shot in a vehicle and was being taken to Transylvania Regional Hospital where they are in stable condition.
Deputies report locating a person of interest and detaining him without incident. An investigation determined the suspect and victim knew each other.
Deputies said 26-year-old Joshua Matthew Fortuner from Brevard was charged with the following:
(2 Counts) Second-degree kidnapping
Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury
Assault with a deadly weapon with
