For fans, attachment to a team is often about more than just the action on the field — it’s about the community they’re a part of and the experiences they share with those close to them. Edward Keenan is looking at the personal connections and strong emotions of fans as their Blue Jays return to the World Series for the first time in more than three decades.

A lot of us have been Blue Jays fans for as long as we can remember. For Dave Patterson, it’s been even longer than that.

“I was born in 1993,” he says. “Apparently I watched them in the World Series then, but I have no memory of it.”
