(KRON) — Two small earthquakes shook the East Bay Thursday near Briones Regional Park.
A 2.8-magnitude quake struck at 3:36 p.m. and was immediately followed by a 2.5-magnitude earthquake, according to USGS.
The earthquakes occurred at a depth of roughly 8.7 miles and 9.6 miles beneath the earth’s surface, respectively.
A flurry of aftershocks have rattled the East Bay since a 4.3 magnitude quake hit Berkeley on Sept. 22.
