(KRON) -- The Oakland Police Department is looking for leads following a car collision into a building early Tuesday morning.

The crash happened around 3:45 a.m. in the 4600 block of Fairfax Avenue.

"When officers arrived, they found an abandoned vehicle and learned that several individuals had exited it and left the area on foot," said OPD in a statement to KRON4.

It has not yet been determined what led to the collision or if drugs and alcohol played factors.

Oakland police did not disclose the type of vehicle that was involved in the incident.
