FARGO — The Fargo Davies girls cross country team has plenty to be excited about heading into Saturday’s Class A state cross country meet.

The Eagles are fresh off of winning the East Region team championship for the first time since 2018. Now, Davies will head to Jamestown’s Parkhurst Campground/Pipestem Reservoir in search of more hardware.

“I think we all just need to lean on each other and run to the best of our abilities,” Eagles freshman Brielle Stevens said. “Run not only for ourselves, but for each other and just know that we can do so much more than we think is possible.”

Davies edged Fargo Shanley by six points to claim their first conference title in seven years during the East Region meet at Lincoln Park in Grand Forks on Oct. 11.
