A snake of close to 100 people lining up to view an Osborne Park rental has gone viral, showing the grim reality of how “insane” Perth’s rental market has become.

Lexi Sargeant, a local on the hunt for a new property, took a trip out to Perth’s north for a inspection last week, checking out a three-bedroom villa.

However Ms Sargeant quickly realised that she was not the only hunter with the same idea, with a staggering amount of people rocking up to view the $650 a week listing.

The 35-year-old posted a clip to TikTok of the queue that had formed in front of the property, which blew up and gained more than three million views.

“The real estate agent confirmed 92 people were registered at this viewing today. The property market is insane,” the videos caption wrote.
