Actor Lakshmi Menon has moved the Kerala High Court seeking to dismiss the criminal case of alleged abduction and assault of an IT employee in Kochi stating that the matter had been settled among them.

The High Court had reportedly granted anticipatory bail to the actress and other accused persons earlier with the victim stating his complaint was filed based on a misunderstanding, LiveLaw reported.

However, Justice CS Dias on Thursday (October 23) maintained that there were people other than the complainant injured in the case.

In an FIR filed on August 25, 2025, Aliyarsha Salim stated the actor and three others including Midhun, Aneesh and Sonamol, threatened to murder him after a fight at Velocity Pub in Kochi the previous day.
