The Colorado Avalanche and Carolina Hurricanes are throwing things back to the 90s.

The teams will showcase their franchises’ storied pasts when they meet Thursday night at Ball Arena , with both teams donning vintage uniforms that represent their former identities: The Quebec Nordiques and the Hartford Whalers.
