TAMPA, Fla. — Ryan Donato scored two more goals to help the Chicago Blackhawks beat the slumping Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 on Thursday night.
Frank Nazar had a power-play goal — his fourth of the season — and an assist as the Hawks (4-2-2) won for the fourth time in five games. Teuvo Teräväinen had two assists, and Spencer Knight made 29 saves.
Donato has five goals during a four-game scoring streak. His second goal with 53.2 seconds left in the third period Thursday was the difference. The veteran forward scored a career-high 31 goals last season, then in June signed a four-year, $16 million contract through 2028-29.
Ryan McDonagh had a goal and an assist for the Lightning (1-4-2) in their fourth consecutive loss. Jake Guentzel also scored, and Nikita Kucherov had two assists.
