Karenna Umschied The Cherry Cola Spritz at Josephine in Somerville.

Josephine is a luxurious and spacious Italian restaurant that seems like the kind of place you might go to for a business dinner or a very, very nice date. I went at around 1 p.m. on a weekday, which at least allowed me plenty of natural light to bask in as I sipped my cocktails.

For my first drink, I tried the Cherry Cola Spritz, made of Amaro Lucano, grenadine, maraschino, cola and Lambrusco. This was a red wine cocktail I would recommend even to people who don’t like them. The combination of the rich red wine flavor with the bubbliness of the cola and the light cherry sweetness was delicious and decadent.
