'He deserves better': Family of man shot to death in Jeffersontown says he was loving father of 2

LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A grieving family is seeking answers after a man was found shot to death inside a Jeffersontown apartment on Arbor Pointe Drive, off Stony Brook Drive.

Police say officers arrived to find the apartment door open and a man sitting in a chair with multiple gunshot wounds.

Family members identified the victim as 34-year-old Airrice Clayton.

“The fact that I don’t know his last minutes. I don’t know if he hurt. I don’t know if he feared. Those moments I will never know are between Airrice, the persons, and God,” said his mother, Alisha Clayton-Johnson.

Loved ones described Clayton as a father to a 13-year-old and a newborn.
