The Los Angeles Chargers and the Minnesota Vikings are in action on Thursday Night Football in a game between two playoff contenders.

The Chargers have taken a big step in the right direction in Year 2 of the Jim Harbaugh era, in large part because of an outstanding defense.

One of the leaders on that side of the ball is All-Pro safety Derwin James Jr., who was been one of the best safeties in the NFL since he was drafted by the Chargers out of Florida State in 2018.

However, he was forced to leave the game on Thursday night with an ankle injury, and he is currently questionable to return.
