“I would just love it to be full. It would be really nice to have a lot of people here, you know, the excitement of everybody talking and all of that makes all of the hard work getting a show together worth it. But each person is important. … Whenever I see somebody looking at my paintings, that is the compliment to me. … Something in it made them stop and look at it. I love seeing that,” said artist Johnna Luther of Canyon, who begins her second solo show in Dumas at The Art Center with a reception October 26 from 2-4 p.m.
Luther, who lived several years in Dumas, has maintained ties to the city and the people she got to know there. She has been a regular member of the group of artists who gather on Tuesdays in The Art Center classroom to paint and socialize. Despite the fact that
