LOUISVILLE — When Nico Rizzello first stepped onto Monarch’s campus as a transfer from Fairview, with just three weeks left in the summer, he was left with little time to learn the Coyote football system as its new quarterback.
On Friday night at Spangenberg Field, he showcased just how far he’s come since Day 1 as he led his 12th-ranked team to a 49-14 beating of No. 16 Frederick, scoring three touchdowns and throwing for 162 yards.
The Coyotes won the 4A North 1 League title for the second year in a row, to boot.
