New Delhi: Advertising legend Piyush Pandey passed away on October 24, 2025 (Friday). Pandey was person behind the iconic advertisements of Cadbury, Fevicol, Asian Paints, and many other popular brands.
Pandey, who passed away at 70, was suffering from infection. He was associated in the advertising field for nearly four decades. He was the Chief Creative Officer Worldwide and Executive Chairman India of Ogilvy.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman expressed her condolences on passing away of Piyush Pandey. She described him as a ‘ titan’ and ‘legend’ of Indian advertising. She credited Pandey of transforming communication by bringing everyday idioms, earthy humor, and genuine warmth into it.
