EAST LANSING — The Michigan Tech Huskies women’s basketball team outscored No. 23 Michigan State 18-15 in the third quarter, but ultimately fell, 101-58, to the Spartans in an exhibition clash at the Breslin Center Wednesday.

A trio of Huskies reached double-digit scoring, led by sophomore guard Kendall Standfest, who shot 5-for-9 from the field while tying the team-high with three assists. Sophomore guard Ella Mason scored 14 points on 3-for-7 from three, while junior guard Alyssa Wypych added 13 points, going a perfect six-for-six from the free throw line and a team-high four boards.
