Two female childcare workers have been accused of allegedly assaulting a toddler multiple times in Sydney's west, NSW Police said.
Police said they received a report on Monday that workers had allegedly assaulted the child at the Little Zak's Academy in Doonside on October 13.
"Following inquiries, police charged both women with five counts of common assault," police said.
Little Zak's Academy said the educators were terminated "as soon as the allegations came to light".
“It is devastating that any child in our care would be handled in the way that is alleged," a spokesperson said in a statement.
" We pride ourselves on the quality of care provided by our team and where we identify an issue, we act quickly and with zero tolerance. "
