Perth shooting guard Elijah Pepper has shot his way back into the Boomers line-up as the sole Wildcats representative in the 12-man squad for Australia’s FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Asian qualifiers against New Zealand.
Pepper has already starred in the green and gold this year, top-scoring in both of his appearances during earlier qualifiers in February.
It comes after his best performance in the NBL this season with 18 points and four assists going at 70 per cent from just 19 minutes against the Cairns Taipans.
Pepper also enjoyed a standout NBL1 West season, averaging 36.0 points, 7.3 assists, 6.7 rebounds from 23 games, shooting at 49 per cent from the field and recording four 50+ point games.
