KOCHI: A CPM leader was found hanging in the party office. T S Pankajakshan, former secretary of Udayamperoor North Local Committee, was found hanging in the party office. The body was found in the library room of Udayamperoor Nadakkavu local committee office.

The body was first found by the newspaper boy Friday morning at 6.30 am. He later informed the others. Police said steps will be taken after the forensic team arrives. Initial reports said financial liability led him to take the drastic step. Pankajakshan and his wife Bhasura Devi were active in the party. Pankajakshan, who was working in the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) retired a few years ago. He was a union member of IOC.
