Josh Simmons is still absent.

The Kansas City Chiefs rookie left the team in Week 6, just hours before their win against the Detroit Lions at Arrowhead, where he was designated as out, with his status listed as 'not injury related - personal.'

Since then, the Chiefs contingent have remained very tight-lipped on Simmons' situation.

On Tuesday, Kansas City owner Clark Hunt made his first statement on the 22-year-old's ongoing absence, after ESPN NFL writer Kalyn Kahler asked "if he could tell us what's going on with rookie left tackle Josh Simmons."

But Hunt could only issue a four-word response, which gave zero clarity on when it can be expected that he will return to the team.

"I really can't comment," Hunt said.
