The two-day bank holiday will ensure devotees can participate fully in rituals and celebrations, while banks resume normal operations on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

Banks in Bihar, Jharkhand, and parts of Uttar Pradesh will remain closed for up to two consecutive days during the Chhath Puja celebrations ahead. The festival, considered as one of the most important occasions in these regions. It will be observed on October 27 and 28 which are Kharna and Usha Arghya .
