A man was rushed to hospital after being seriously injured by a blade, the Manchester Evening News understands.

Emergency services attended Church Road in Kearsley, Bolton , at around 2.30pm on Thursday afternoon (October 23).

Greater Manchester Police was called out to reports of an assault.

The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, which are thankfully not believed to be life-threatening.

It's understood the victim was injured by a suspect who used a bladed weapon.
