The latest figures from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) show there are now more than 3.8 million adults in England and Wales claiming Personal Independence Payment (PIP). Similar data from Social Security Scotland indicates over 484,000 people north of the border are receiving up to £749.80 every four-week payment period in additional financial support through Adult Disability Payment (ADP).
