CHINO HILLS — Centennial girls golfer Victoria Richani came into Thursday’s final round of the Big VIII League tournament with a three-shot lead, thanks to back-to-back birdies to close out an opening round of 1-under-par 73 on the North Course at Los Serranos Country Club on Tuesday.

With that cushion, Richani’s mindset was to play efficient golf on the Los Serranos’ South Course and make the chasers come get her.

That’s exactly what Richani did en route to her second high school tournament win of the year. She made two birdies and a lone bogey to shoot a second straight 1-under-par 73. She prevailed by four shots over 2024 champion Finlay Nihei of Santiago and King’s Sarani Yapa.
