US authorities have arrested Mehul Goswami, a 39-year-old Indian-American state employee, on charges of grand larceny for allegedly working a second full-time job while being paid for his official role in New York State.
According to a press release from the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, Mehul Goswami, a resident of Latham, was arrested last week in a joint operation with the New York State Inspector General’s Office. He was accused of working in the town of Malta while on the clock and working remotely for the New York State Office of Information Technology Services.
