Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit South Korea from October 30 to November 1 for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit , Beijing's foreign ministry says.
Xi will deliver a speech at APEC and hold bilateral meetings with other leaders, including South Korean President Lee Jae Myung, Guo Jiakun, a spokesperson for the ministry, said a press briefing on Friday.
Guo said Xi's attendance at the summit would demonstrate the great importance China attaches to regional economic co-operation.
Guo said China is ready to work with all parties to contribute to the advancement of economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region.
The White House said on Thursday that US President Donald Trump would have a bilateral meeting with Xi on the morning of October 30.
