Kenaa Dwivedi, sister of Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, shared an emotional note on Bhai Dooj, praising her brother's character and respectful nature. This heartfelt message comes shortly after Chahal's ex-wife, Dhanashree Verma, discussed their marriage and separation on the show 'Rise and Fall'. Kenaa's post highlights Chahal's integrity, stating, "You’re also the man who truly respects women, the one who addresses every woman as ‘ma’am,’ who protects the dignity of every soul around him, and who chooses silence when the world turns mean."
She expressed gratitude for his support, saying, "People who know your heart, your character, and your soul feel that protective energy, that warmth and strength that makes everyone around you feel safe." Kenaa's message reflects her admiration for Chahal's ability to remain calm during difficult times.
Dhanashree Verma, during her appearance on 'Rise and Fall', shared insights about her relationship with Chahal, revealing that their marriage began as an arranged one. She mentioned, "It was love and arranged both. It started off as an arranged marriage. Basically, he wanted to get married without dating, and I wasn’t even planning for anything like that."
Dhanashree also spoke about the changes she noticed in Chahal's behavior after their marriage, stating, "I started seeing subtle changes in his behaviour. There is a difference between how people act when they want something compared to when they get it." Despite her efforts to make the marriage work, she eventually decided to part ways, confirming that they filed for mutual divorce in February, which was finalized in March.
The couple first met during online dance classes during the Covid-19 lockdown and got married later. Dhanashree clarified that their divorce process was smooth, with no discussions about alimony. Kenaa's note, coming in the wake of Dhanashree's revelations, has drawn attention for its timing and content, suggesting a subtle response to the ongoing discussions surrounding their past relationship.
