A man in Enkoor mandal of Khammam district hacked his wife to death with an axe on Friday. Police said the accused, Thati Rama Rao, killed his wife Govarshini after repeated disputes over her alleged affair with another man

Khammam: A man allegedly hacked his wife to death at Colony Nacharam village of Enkoor mandal in the district on Friday.

According to police, the accused, Thati Rama Rao, married Govarshini of the same village after they fell in love and had three children. Govarshini was said to have been maintaining an extramarital affair with a youth, Akhil alias Adam, of the same village.

About eight months ago, she left her husband and children and went to live with Akhil. Rama Rao brought her home several times, but she kept going back to Akhil. Govarshini visited their daught
