100 Years Ago, 1925: At a special meeting of the New Century Club of Chester, held yesterday afternoon, a committee of the board of directors was appointed to consider plans for the construction of a new clubhouse at 15th and Upland streets. It is planned to have work on the new building, the cost of which will be approximately $38,000, started in the near future. The lot on which the building will be constructed was donated to the club several years ago by Mrs. J. Edward Woodbridge, who for many years has been active in the club’s affairs.
