CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Chesapeake firefighters quickly put out a small fire late Thursday night at an Arby’s restaurant on Taylor Road.

Fire crews were called to 2417 Taylor Road around 10:14 p.m. after a report of something burning outside the business. When firefighters arrived about eight minutes later, they saw smoke coming from near the restaurant’s entrance and upgraded the call to a commercial structure fire.

Firefighters deployed a hoseline and extinguished a small fire that had started behind the exterior wall near the entrance.

The restaurant had just closed for the night, and two employees inside were safely evacuated before firefighters arrived.

No one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
