The Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch, Leader of the Conservative Party and Britain’s Opposition Leader, visited BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London—widely known as Neasden Temple—on Wednesday, 22 October 2025, to join the grand celebrations of Diwali and the Hindu New Year with the British Hindu community.

Mrs Badenoch was warmly greeted by senior BAPS volunteers and community representatives before touring the Mandir. She admired its divine atmosphere, intricate craftsmanship, and the spectacular Annakut—a sacred display of hundreds of vegetarian dishes offered to God as an expression of devotion and gratitude at the start of the New Year.
