FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WBAY) - The Fond du Lac Sheriff’s Office has a 26-year-old Missouri man in custody as it investigates the circumstances of a reported road rage incident.

At 1:15 a.m., a FedEx driver from Stratford called 911, reported a driver stopped in the only open lane of traffic in the construction zone on Interstate 41 near County Hwy N and appeared to have a firearm.

The Missouri driver was located in Winnebago County and detained without incident after a high-risk traffic stop.

The sheriff’s office says he denied having a firearm. He consented to searching his car, and no firearm was found. He was arrested on a possible charge of disorderly conduct.
