Millions of people could save money on their monthly broadband bill by switching to a social tariff - or a new provider. Exiting customers can switch to a cheaper package 50 days before their current contract ends without incurring any early exit fees.
However, people in receipt of the State Pension or benefits may also be eligible for a social tariff with their current supplier, which could bring the monthly cost down to under £20. The EE Basics broadband package costs just £12 per month with speeds up to 25 Mbit/s.
There are currently over 30 broadband social tariffs available for providers across Great Britain which means a simple phone call to your provider could cut your bill drastically before your bill is due next month. The full list can be viewed on the Ofc
