Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro appealed for peace on Thursday, delivering his plea in English and urging “No crazy war , please!” as tensions with Washington escalated following U.S. President Donald Trump’s acknowledgment that he had authorized covert operations against Venezuela.

Trump, however, denied reports that a U.S. B-1B bomber had flown over the Caribbean near Venezuela’s coast, calling them “false,” despite flight-tracking data from Flightradar24 showing the aircraft approaching Venezuelan airspace before turning north.
