A Florida man allegedly got behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Corvette with a mostly empty bottle of Jack Daniels before he drove 135 mph and slammed into another car, ripping it in two and killing one of its passengers.
Dale James Drotar, 40, stands accused of vehicular homicide and DUI manslaughter along with other charges in the death of 25-year-old Natalie Pierre. A probable cause arrest affidavit says the four-vehicle crash occurred around 10 p.m. April 6 at the intersection of Military Trail and Cedar Point Boulevard in Boynton Beach.
Cops say Drotar drove the Corvette south on Military Trail at 135 mph in a 45 mph zone. The other vehicle, a Toyota Camry, was headed north on Military Trail and was making a left turn onto Cedar Point when the Corvette plowed into the Camry. Both cars
