GRAND FORKS – The completion of a drainage project in one Grand Forks neighborhood will hopefully bring with it an end to residents’ worries about potential flooding in the future.
Construction work in the Vail Circle neighborhood finished at the end of September, and Grand Forks Utility Engineer Carmen Neuschwander said final restorations should be finished by the end of October.
“It’s good to have it done, and we’re excited to see it up and running,” she said.
The project included expanding pump station capacity by building one new station near Vail Circle on 11th Avenue South and upgrading the two stations already present. It also included building a new forcemain on the south side of the same street to match the existing one on the north side.
