Ben Stiller is owning up to his shortfalls.

As the Zoolander alum put together his new documentary, Stiller & Meara: Nothing Is Lost about his parents Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara , he admitted how he and wife Christine Taylor are still figuring out the proper way to parent their kids Ella Stiller , 23, and Quinlin Stiller , 20.

“ Having kids who are now actors also, and experiencing that, that became part of the movie in terms of talking to them about how cyclically, generationally these things get handed down,” Ben explained during an appearance on The View Oct. 23. “You want to do better than your parents.”
