Spotify has stated that customers will be given a one-month grace period before the new pricing takes effect. The company had hinted at a potential price hike across various regions earlier this year, but it was unclear whether the UK would be affected.

The last time Spotify increased its prices, by £1, was in spring 2024. In a statement, Spotify said: "As we continue innovating and enhancing the value we deliver, we periodically update our pricing to reflect local market conditions and economic factors, ensuring our service remains unparalleled."
