Ridgefield splash pad opens after 2 years of delays, disputes with contractor Subscriber Exclusive

Ridgefield’s much-delayed water play structure is finally ready to make a splash, more than two years after it was originally scheduled to open to the public.

“The splash pad has been — and rightfully so — fodder for a lot of jokes,” Ridgefield Mayor Matt Cole said. “Every time we open something new, people are like, ‘OK, but what about the splash pad?’ ”
