STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Cooler than normal temperatures will persist across Staten Island Friday with highs reaching only around 60 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
While no frost is expected on Staten Island on Friday night, temperatures will dip into the mid-40s under partly cloudy skies.
The National Weather Service indicates that Friday’s weather will feature less gusty winds compared to recent days as high pressure builds in from the Midwest. Some afternoon stratocumulus clouds are possible with temperatures running a few degrees below normal. While interior areas of the region may see frost development overnight, Staten Island and the New York City metro area will remain warmer with lows in the mid-40s.
Weekend temperatures will continue to run about five degrees
