A Local man was killed after a car crash.

It happened Friday morning, around 2:00 a.m., on Interstate 15 in Bannock County.

A Pocatello man was traveling north on Interstate-15 driving a 1997 Mitsubishi 3000 GT.

The Driver veered to the right, hit a guardrail and went over it, and striking the Monte Vista overpass pillar.

The Driver was wearing a seatbelt; he was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

Two of the three northbound lanes of Interstate 15 were blocked for 3 hours for clean-up.

Idaho State Police are investigating the incident.
