Francis collected 55.67% of the 27,482 votes cast in the girls contest . Francis was nominated after tallying both goals in a loss to Mount Abraham, supplying a hat trick in a 7-0 win over Missisquoi and delivering a four-goal, two-assist game in a 9-2 rout of Blue Mountain.

The online voting at burlingtonfreepress.com began Monday, Oct. 20 and closed Thursday, Oct. 23.
