MASON CITY, Iowa — The Historic 1918 YWCA, once nearing demolition, is celebrating its revival with the Autumnal Art Festival .

This event, presented by Yes! We Create Art, invites the public to witness the transformation on Saturday and Sunday at 2 South Adams Avenue.

The festival marks significant progress in the building's five-year renovation. Artists Elisha Marin and Susanne Crane spearheaded the project, overcoming numerous challenges, including a decade of decay and significant theft. "This is a celebration of what a community can do," Marin said. "We've faced so many 'impossible' moments, but the support has been incredible."

The festival features a major mixed-media exhibition titled INTRIGUE!, showcasing works from artists like Andrea Blackmon, Susanne Crane, and Christy Harp
