The boyfriend of a young woman who died earlier this year has installed a memorial bench in her honour in Markeaton Park after launching a fundraising campaign. Dylan Miller, who lives in Derby , organised the tribute for his late girlfriend Julia Perry, who died aged 25 in June of this year.

In July, Dylan started a GoFundMe campaign to raise £5,000, of which £2,150 would be used to fund the donation fee to Derby Parks for the installation of the bench. The rest of the raised money went to Brain Research UK, a charity of Julia's family's choosing. The donations exceeded the goal, something Dylan and Julia's family were "overwhelmed and massively grateful" about.
