A Windsor resident faces charges after a wrong-way driver did an estimated $30,000 damage to a Sarnia car wash early Thursday, police say.
Security footage showed the driver of a blue Nissan Rogue buying gas at a London Road service station, making a purchase in the store, then driving the wrong way through the car wash’s open exit door about 1 a.m., a Sarnia police release said. The vehicle stopped, then reversed into the now-closed exit door.

After trying to leave the car wash through a locked main door, the driver surveys the damage then gets back in the vehicle and accelerates, “ramming . . . through the other garage door and fleeing,” police said.
Damage to the car wash is estimated at $30,000, police said.
