Growing up in Las Vegas, David Gonzalez and Valentina Reyes both claimed Tacos El Gordo as their go-to spot. When the now-married couple met later in life, they enjoyed visits there together. The Tijuana-based taqueria institution, which has seven U.S. locations in Nevada and California, specializes in tacos de adobada , the regional name for tacos al pastor.
