LIBERTY, Texas – The Liberty County mother who was accused of attempting to drown her three children after giving them NyQuil is now facing felony charges nearly a month later.

Jessica Quintana, 39, has now been charged with two counts of injury to a child causing bodily injury and one charge of assault causing bodily injury, according to Liberty County Sheriff’s Office. All three charges are felonies in the first degree.

Quintana was scheduled to be released from the hospital before noon on Friday. LCSO investigators waited at the facility for her to be discharged, and she was placed in custody at 10:07 a.m.
