SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - There are parades, festivals, vendors, and people’s pets being showcased across Savannah and into the Lowcountry, so travelers should anticipate slowing down with several streets being closed or congested.
The Savannah State University Homecoming Parade starts at 9 a.m.
The parade starts on East Broad Street at Liberty Street, going north to Broughton St., then west to Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, then south to West Gwinnett St. near Forsyth Park. It officially disbands on May St. and Anderson Street.
Around 13,000 people are expected to be on campus and attending the parade this weekend.
The SCAD Film Fest runs continually from Oct. 25 at 8 a.m. to November 1 at various Savannah College of Art and Design locations
