Happy Friday, at least as happy as it can be after a dreadful Canucks loss to a team that was on a four-game skid and we’re currently getting soaked with nothing to look forward to but an atmospheric river weekend. Hat tip to all those soccer parents who are going to be double fisting a large golf umbrella and a grande hot beverage on the sidelines.
At least there’s a pair of exciting hockey games to look forward to, right? Canucks play at home in a rare Saturday/Sunday home daily double, the Montreal Canadiens visit on Saturday and the “All We Have To Be Proud Of Is A Giant Mall” Oilers on Sunday.
Oh, yeah, and the Blue Jays open the World Series today with a player on the mound who was pitching at Nat Bailey earlier this summer.
